The most important trends for spring / summer 2013 – Prints

Patterns remain important, but are used more subtle than in previous seasons. Nevertheless, the wallpaper look still works. It comes to prints from head to toe.

Parka, jacket or biker jacket

That makes you cool girlish looks like TIBI, where minimalist denim vests were pulled over pale yellow mini dresses. Sporty or classic looks, pleated skirts and blouses

Orange

The colour of the moment is still “Tangerine” and is a rich, bright orange – now officially the successor of the hip this summer. This works like the all-over floor-length dresses by Carolina Herrera or as a highlight colour in an otherwise plain outfit like Victoria Beckham and Rodarte.

90-s

In summer, the revival finally shows its friendly side: Marc Jacobs’ striped trousers. Phillip Lim sent dresses on the catwalk, allowed as a direct throwback flannel shirt knotted at the waist.

Shorts + blouse + blazer

Shorts are a great alternative to rock – blouses and blazers take them to the beach flair and trim them even on office and party. You have to try; it even works with denim shorts! Tommy Hilfiger did it the other way around and he combined classic blazer with Bermuda shorts.

XXL sleeves

Eye-catching wide sleeves. Whether the signs of inspiration now comes from the Japanese kimono as Osman or bishop robes like Mary Katrantzou – XXL sleeves are very important in the coming summer.
